**What are we looking for?** We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with a focus on Optimization to join our strategic projects team. This professional will be responsible for developing and applying advanced mathematical models to support decision-making in complex business scenarios. We seek someone with strong technical depth, capable of proposing innovative solutions to complex problems, possessing an analytical mindset and practical vision for application. **Key Responsibilities:** Develop, implement, and validate Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) models using Pyomo and Gurobi. Translate business problems into mathematical optimization models, seeking scalable and efficient solutions. Support the definition of performance metrics and validation of results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, operations, product) to integrate optimization solutions into systems and decision workflows. Document methodologies, assumptions, and results clearly and systematically. Handle large volumes of unstructured data and transform\-them into more usable formats; Review business problems using data-driven techniques; Work with a variety of programming languages; Communicate and collaborate with both IT and management; Seek order and patterns in data, while identifying trends that may impact a company's financial outcomes; Explain complex analytical results clearly and concisely, or articulate precise business-area requirements to a technical team; Serve as a technical reference for the team. **Requirements:** Proven experience in mathematical optimization with a focus on MIP (Mixed Integer Programming). Proficiency in Pyomo and Gurobi. Solid foundation in operations research, linear and integer programming, heuristics, and metaheuristics. Ability to translate business problems into applicable computational models. Senior-level expertise in optimization techniques (minimum 5–7 years of experience). **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics. Experience integrating optimization models into production environments.
