We are seeking a talent to fill the position of PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR **Let’s transform collaboration into results—together?** **Responsibilities and Duties** Here are some of the challenges you’ll face daily: * Coordinate the procurement team across processes and projects related to renewable energy generation technologies—including solar, wind, energy storage, and other clean energy sources; * Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for acquiring equipment and services required for the operation and maintenance of renewable power plants; * Lead the supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting process for technology and infrastructure suppliers, ensuring commercially and contractually advantageous terms for the company; * Evaluate and approve procurement and contracting processes; review reports from team members to ensure optimal technical-commercial strategy and compliance with procurement policies and approval authorities; * Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Sustainability teams to ensure all technical and regulatory requirements are met in every procurement; * Assess and mitigate supply chain-related risks, ensuring continuity and quality in the delivery of goods and services for renewable generation projects; * Monitor supplier performance, lead quality evaluation processes, and implement corrective actions when necessary; * Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, pursuing long-term partnerships and continuous improvement across the supply chain; * Analyze market trends and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector, identifying opportunities for innovation and procurement optimization; * Plan and manage the department’s budget jointly with Procurement Management, ensuring cost and efficiency targets are met; * Develop and guide team members on strategic procurement processes, policies and procedures, procurement strategies, systems (e-procurement), and provide mentoring to support their professional development; * Conduct FUP meetings, planning sessions, kick-off meetings with suppliers and internal committees involving senior leadership, presenting clear and objective management/executive reports—and occasionally substituting for the department manager in managerial activities as needed; * Support the Supplier Governance area in developing KPIs, Supply Policies and Standards, and monitor and measure their correct implementation by team members; * Prepare performance and cost reports and present them to management/executive leadership for decision-making. **Requirements and Qualifications** For this opportunity, we expect the following from you: * Experience in large-scale procurement and contracting for construction of Solar Parks, Wind Farms, Hydroelectric Plants (UHE), Small Hydroelectric Plants (PCHs), Transmission Lines, Substations (HV, MV, LV), Power Generation Auctions, Transmission Auctions, and acquisition of assets for Renewable Energy; * Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, biomass, energy storage, etc.) and associated technologies; * Expertise in high-complexity negotiations and contract management, including EPC, Turnkey, Balance of Plant (BoP), Framework Agreements, LPU, Catalog-based procurement, and import transactions; * Familiarity with regulations governing the Electric Power Sector—preferably those related to Renewable Sources—as well as environmental regulations and sustainable procurement practices; * Advanced proficiency in procurement and contract management tools such as ERP, MRP (SAP), and e-procurement platforms like Oracle, Coupa, and similar systems. **Additional Information** **Why Apply:** By joining Grupo Equatorial, you become part of a rapidly expanding company whose culture emphasizes continuous development, talent diversity, and commitment to the future.
