Job Summary: A professional responsible for visitor reception, access control, asset security, operation of equipment, and patrols to maintain order and safety. Key Highlights: 1. Attending to and guiding internal and external visitors 2. Strict control of access and asset security 3. Operating communication and monitoring equipment a) Attend to internal and external visitors at the assigned workstation when required; b) Direct and guide visitors in accordance with internal workplace regulations; c) Control the entry and exit of personnel (employees and visitors), including, if necessary, using a specific computer system/program if the reception is computerized with access control; d) Control the entry and exit of vehicles, materials, and equipment; e) Organize parking within the facility; f) Operate communication equipment (radio, telephone, intercom, PABX, and others); g) Operate the CCTV system at reception to facilitate tracking of people moving within the facility; h) Record and monitor daily incidents in the designated logbook for the workstation, handing over duties to the substitute security guard; i) Notify authorities in case of theft, robbery, accident, or fire; subsequently inform Management or Supervision—this sequence may be reversed depending on circumstances; j) Maintain order and discipline at the workplace; k) Ensure asset security by safeguarding property; l) Control the exit of assets upon request for verification; m) Receive correspondence delivered at reception and forward it to the internal distribution department as instructed; n) Relay messages and information when necessary; o) Prevent possible accidents and incidents during patrols; p) Inspect internal and external areas according to operational guidelines; q) Conduct daytime or nighttime patrols, verifying that doors, windows, gates, and other access points are properly closed, inspecting hydraulic and electrical installations, and taking necessary actions upon detecting irregularities to prevent theft, fire, and other damages; r) During patrols, if unoccupied rooms with lights or equipment turned on are observed, verify whether they may be switched off—especially equipment—to avoid accident risks and potential fire hazards; s) In case of elevator malfunctions, contact the contracted maintenance provider by phone; t) In case of power or water outages occurring outside working hours, contact the respective utility providers; u) Assist individuals with mobility impairments in using accessibility platforms; v) Perform other tasks of similar nature and complexity related to reception duties.
