Job Summary: Assist in the production and distribution of meals, ensuring hygiene, safety, and service to patients and staff. Key Highlights: 1. Assist in meal production 2. Handling and organization of utensils * Prepare food for patients, companions, and staff according to instructions from chefs and Nutrition Technicians; * Sanitize utensils; * Record equipment temperatures; * Comply with food hygiene and occupational safety standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Assist chefs in meal preparation, adhering to food hygiene standards, previously specified menu items for patients and staff, and the production schedule; * Prepare coffee for breakfast and evening meals for patients, and coffee carafes for staff; * Assist in meal preparation by washing, peeling, selecting, chopping, or grinding ingredients, and preparing simple desserts under supervision, as needed; * Manage utensils to be used in the cafeteria meal distribution; * Stock the cafeteria distribution counter; * Perform cleaning of departmental utensils and equipment, either at the sink or in the dishwasher; * Deliver coffee and biscuits to closed departments, Executive Office, meetings, and events; * Distribute tea, coffee, and water carafes according to the established schedule and designated locations, collecting them at scheduled times; * Collect food samples for microbiological analysis; * Ensure personal safety by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each activity and promote collective safety through safe professional practices; * Carry out duties applying departmental norms and procedures; * Maintain custody, preservation, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment, instruments, materials used, and the workplace; * Report any service-related issues to the Nutrition Technician; * Perform other related tasks as requested by supervisors; * Operate food preparation and handling equipment under the guidance of the Nutrition Technician; * Remove trash from work areas at the end of each shift, separating recyclables for disposal in properly labeled bins and common waste for storage in the garbage room; * Perform weekly cleaning of kitchen equipment according to the schedule. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed elementary education; * Prior experience in the field is desirable. **Additional Information** Shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:20 PM / 7:00 AM – 3:20 PM / 8:00 AM – 4:20 PM / 1:00 PM – 8:20 PM **SPDM** \- Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (São Paulo Association for Medical Development) is a non-profit, philanthropic civil association, recognized as being of federal, state, and municipal public utility in its headquarters city, respectively by Decrees No. 57\.925, dated 03/04/1966; No. 40\.103, dated 05/17/1962; and No. 8\.911, dated 07/30/1970\.
