Teamwork and supervision Laboratory Assistant Work City: Curitiba/PR \- Neighborhood: Batel Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00 • Saturdays: 08:00 to 12:00 on an alternating basis after the probation period Job Description: • Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of workbenches; • Organize manipulation tools on workbenches and replenish as needed; • Prepare liquid, semi-solid, solid, and standard formulations according to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); • Conduct finished product quality control: average weight of biscuits and capsules, pH of liquids, color, odor, weight—and record all information on the preparation order; • Package formulations into appropriate and pre-determined containers, and clean containers post-preparation; • Label formulations per SOP; • Insert guidance labels where required; • Verify in-process quality control (average weight/pH/weight); • Confirm that labels on compounded formulations match prescriptions; • Check expiration dates of compounded medications; • Process preparation orders in the PCP system; • Perform daily verification and recording of scale weights, and calibrate scales when necessary; • Check and record environmental and refrigerator temperature and humidity twice daily; • Replace exhaust filters as needed and/or per schedule; • Complete incident report forms for any issues; • Sort sterile medications per sales orders; • Assist in maintaining workplace equipment, as well as general laboratory organization and cleanliness whenever required; • Comply with company policies, guidelines, and routines—including any newly introduced ones—as required; • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, as required.
