How about joining our team? **Primary Location:** Brazil (BR) \- São Paulo \- Indaiatuba **Function:** Technology (CA) **Title:** Staff Data Engineer \- Indaiatuba/SP \- 119895 As a Staff Data Engineer, for John Deere Financial (JDF) group, you will join a team to create data platform for advanced analytics and model building in order to enable efficient customer services in various area such as automatic loan approvals. Our team partners with product managers and data practitioners to design, scale, and deliver full stack data solutions. In this role you will: **Main Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Lead design review activities to verify and demonstrate high\-quality output for the JDF Data Engineering products; * Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members; * Collaborate with engineers to improve data quality and help in developing efficient systems; * Lead efforts to implement best practices for software development, test automation, CI/CD and support business needs; * Collaborate with architecture team to develop coding standard, data pipeline standards etc; * Work as Agile team member and participate in back log refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, sprit retrospective; * Follow Security by design principles to define security framework around data pipelines and APIs; * Lead effort to setup team member onboarding processes and guidelines. **Skills You Need** ------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; * Advanced English (broad vocabulary, strong grammar, able to lead meetings, argue, negotiate, and conduct training sessions); * Experience in designing and building data pipelines; * Experience with ETL, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and working with large\-scale datasets; * API Development experience (specifically Rest APIs using Java, Spring boot); * Experience in providing technical leadership in teams; * Experience in solution architecture and designing of systems, applications; * Experience in Test\-driven development; * Extensive working knowledge of Data Engineering and the respective tools and technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Databricks, Python, SQL DB, NoSQL DB, Data Lake concepts); * Extensive working Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3 etc; * Working Knowledge of Gen AI, Agentic pattern; * Working knowledge of Graph databases. **What Makes You Stand Out** ---------------------------- * AWS certification or working experience in AWS cloud or other cloud technologies; * Passionate, creative and have the desire to learn new complex technical areas; * Accountable, curious, and collaborative with an intense focus on product quality; * Skilled in interpersonal communications and ability to communicate complex topics to non\-technical audiences Experience working in an agile team environment; * Passion for coaching and mentoring engineers; * Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, collaborative team environment that is distributed across time zones and locations. **Our Key Benefits** * Variable compensation; * Health insurance; * Dental insurance; * Life insurance; * Private pension plan; * Eyewear benefit; * Vaccine reimbursement; * Corporate University; * TotalPass; * Depending on the location, you will have an on-site restaurant, meal voucher, or food allowance; * Pharmacy assistance; * And more \#LI\-Hybrid **Our Selection Process** The selection process begins with your application; for some positions, additional assessments may apply.
