We do not separate teams into backend and frontend: we seek generalists who enjoy solving end-to-end problems and becoming technical references for their teams. Our squads are small and composed of senior members, granting real autonomy to make decisions and observe the impact of what they build. **Responsibilities:** * Work end-to-end within your squad—from solution design to deployment and production operations; * Technically lead complex and ambiguous initiatives, influencing squad architecture decisions; * Move across different parts of the tech stack as needed, without limiting yourself to a single layer; * Ensure observability of what you build (logs, metrics, alerts) as a natural part of development; * Participate in problem discovery alongside Product and Design—not just execution; * Use data to inform technical and product decisions; * Continuously simplify systems and reduce technical debt and toil over time; * Serve as the technical reference for your squad, supporting the growth of more junior colleagues; * Collaborate with other squads when appropriate, leveraging existing internal capabilities instead of rebuilding from scratch. **What you need to have:** * Solid experience as a developer, with ease navigating multiple layers of the tech stack; * Experience technically leading complex initiatives and handling ambiguity well; * Experience building and operating services in production; * Knowledge of databases and APIs; * Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD; * Autonomy to make technical decisions based on business context; * Strong communication skills and willingness to work closely with Product and Design, and support the development of more junior peers. **You’ll stand out if you have...** * Experience with observability and defining reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs); * Experience in small squads with full ownership over their systems; * A track record of data-driven decision-making; * Prior experience in the insurance or financial products industry; * A history of technical mentoring. **Here, the challenge is real.
