**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Perform daily activities, complying with environmental and occupational health and safety standards and procedures;
* Conduct preliminary risk analysis, listing and requesting appropriate authorizations for critical tasks;
* Provide support to central control panel operators, following predefined procedures;
* Perform mechanical lockout in accordance with PD222;
* Carry out emergency and routine mechanical maintenance in the production area;
* Monitor maintenance activities on production line machines to ensure service quality and equipment condition;
* Report issues during shift handovers, identifying problems occurred and pending or ongoing actions;
* Inspect equipment using specific checklists; keep equipment clean;
* Complete equipment checklists based on observed component wear, indicating maintenance needs, reporting failures, and requesting repairs;
* Occasionally load products and perform electronic product transfers, informing quantities to the responsible area for invoicing and vehicle release purposes;
* Operate forklifts and mini-loaders, light vehicles, and trucks as required to carry out assigned duties;
* Perform electric and oxyacetylene welding;
* Test equipment operation, verifying whether work quality meets requirements for proper functioning—checking correct component fastening, abnormal noises, alignment, working pressures, and other items relevant to the task;
* Focus on identifying improvements to optimize processes;
* Clear chutes, cyclones, hoppers, and transfer chutes as needed;
* Clean smoke boxes according to the production-established cleaning schedule;
* Calibrate dosing scales (electrical panel and weighing monitoring) to ensure inventory control accuracy;
* Perform corrective mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment through fault diagnosis;
* Record identified non-conformities and ensure execution of corrective and preventive actions via work order (WO) issuance;
* Respond to requests via work orders, performing repairs and providing data on completed maintenance to feed equipment history logs;
* Request parts/equipment necessary to perform work.
* Act as field activity leader during your shift, providing technical guidance to less-experienced colleagues.
* Perform sampling and testing as per frequency specified in the Quality Control Plan.
* Conduct tests established in the Quality Control Plan, following applicable procedures and technical standards.
* Support the control of raw meal, clinker, and cement processes alongside the control panel operator, based on test results to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Monitor and maintain optimal operation of X-ray fluorescence equipment and its peripherals (cooling unit), sieves and sieve shakers, Blaine apparatus, muffle furnaces, balances, and laboratory tools used for testing.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
. Completed high school education
. Required Knowledge or Training:
Fundamentals of pneumatics;
Basic lubrication concepts;
Corrective maintenance — operational repairs;
Industrial welding training;
Load handling;
NR 12 — Occupational Safety in Machinery and Equipment;
NR 13 — Boilers and Pressure Vessels;
NR 33 — Confined Space;
NR 35 — Work at Heights;
Forklift and mobile machinery operation training;
Knowledge of material preparation and analysis methods in the cement industry;
National Driver’s License;
Basic Microsoft Office package;
Knowledge of and adherence to the Quality Control Plan;
Basic sampling knowledge;
Proficiency in process control tests (XRF, Free CaO, PF950°C, aerodynamic sieve fineness, Blaine fineness);
Basic metrology;
Knowledge of X-ray fluorescence equipment;
Basic chemistry knowledge related to raw meal, clinker, and cement production;
**Desirable:** Electromechanical or mechanical technician
* Basic knowledge of SAP-PM software
* Intermediate industrial mechanical experience in the cement industry.
