Essential support for production and quality 2. Process and resource optimization 3. Machining process development Eaton’s IS VEH VGSA division is currently seeking a Process Technician \- 1st Shift. Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027\. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. **What you’ll do:** ------------------- **PRIMARY FUNCTION:** * This position primarily supports Production and Quality departments in problem resolution and maintaining production performance indicators. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**A. Review and maintain up-to-date documents including Parameter Adjustment Sheet (FPR), Reaction Plan (PR), and Standard Setup Procedure (PSP). B. Monitor and analyze production performance indicators such as OEE, identifying opportunities for indicator improvement. C. Support sample/prototype manufacturing. D. Support Production and Quality departments in problem resolution, participating in 8D, QSB, and FMEA meetings. E. Conduct time measurements and activity analysis to support development of standard work instructions. F. Propose improvements to machining processes to optimize resource utilization. G. Support process development by monitoring tooling and other input testing. H. Conduct machine time studies to support productivity initiatives. **Qualifications:** ------------------- **Required** * 6 months of experience in CNC turning machining, including MasterCam and insert selection/sizing (cutting inserts) * Completed technical degree in an industrial field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or related disciplines) * Availability to work rotating shifts * Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings * Basic experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks * Technical English (manual reading) **Required knowledge for this role (theoretical knowledge acceptable)** * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools * Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) * Knowledge of forging * Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) * Basic knowledge of Industrial Pneumatics and Hydraulics **Desirable** * Specialized training in CNC, Turning, or Mastercam * Experience in grinding processes All positions may require participation in video and in\-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
