With offices in Uberlândia (MG) and São Paulo (SP), and team members across hundreds of cities, TQI has earned and maintained the Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification for over 7 years, and ranks in the GPTW Top 80+ Technology list—reaffirming its commitment to fostering a diverse, innovative, and high-performance environment. **Work model:** 100% Remote ### **About the position** We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a technical reference for backend development, with hands-on experience in both legacy and modern frontend technologies, responsible for evolving and maintaining critical systems, supporting the team in architectural decisions, and integrating Artificial Intelligence tools into daily development workflows. ### ### **Your responsibilities** * Develop and evolve REST APIs (both new and legacy), ensuring quality, security, and documentation. * Maintain legacy systems (Java 7/8/17, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Struts), performing bug fixes and evolutionary improvements. * Modernize and evolve frontend screens and components, including migration and new development using Angular 19\. * Provide technical support to the team regarding APIs, contributing to performance, stability, and best practices. * Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, with builds managed via Gradle/Maven. * Build SQL queries and reports to support business area requirements. * Collaborate on architectural decisions, focusing on AWS, microservices, and technological evolution. * Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and promote quality practices. * Use Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Kiro, Cursor) to accelerate development, refactoring, code review, and debugging. * Serve as a technical reference for the team—mentoring junior developers, discussing solutions, and ensuring alignment with team-defined standards. ### **What we expect from you (Requirements)** * Solid experience with Java 7, 8, and 17\. * Experience with Spring Boot (2\.x and 3\.x). * AWS architecture (RDS, ECS, EC2, EKS, etc.). * SQL (queries, data manipulation, reporting). * Maintenance of legacy frontend (HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Struts). * Experience with Angular 19 for frontend development and modernization. * Build and CI/CD tools (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins). * JUnit and best practices for automated testing. * Experience working with microservices. * Familiarity with FTP commands. * Practical experience with AI tools applied to software development (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Kiro, Cursor, or similar). ### ### **Nice-to-have qualifications** * Experience with Swagger / OpenAPI. * Experience in complex, large-scale corporate environments. * Ability to provide technical mentorship and drive best practices within the team. * Prior experience or knowledge of low-code Mendix. ### **What we offer:** You will join diverse, high-performing teams in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
