Mentor and develop the team **[Tech] Software Engineering Specialist** ================================================== TOTVS | Ribeirão Preto - SP | Remote Job Description Serve as a technical and/or business reference within your area of expertise, participating in medium- and high-complexity projects that deliver value not only to the product but also ensure customer satisfaction and team growth within your product or business segment. Responsibilities and Duties WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Perform maintenance, implementation, or services of medium and high complexity involving business rules through software requirement implementation using project-related technologies; * Perform maintenance, implementation, or services of high complexity with minimal supervision and limited support through software requirement implementation using project-related technologies; * Possess in-depth knowledge of the software architecture and be capable of working with it by analyzing its components, organization, and functionalities; * Create high-complexity tests—whether manual or automated—that cover the intended behavior of developed features using requirements and testing tools; * Document or validate documentation for developed items to ensure end-user comprehension; * Mentor and collaborate with the development team to identify business, architectural, and design solutions through communication and knowledge sharing, resolving doubts and disseminating expertise in internal and external forums, while interacting with other departments to drive improvements; * Suggest improvements to processes, tools, procedures, products, and technologies based on critical analysis; * Specify medium- and high-complexity requirements through direct interaction with clients and stakeholders involved in the project or support activities, proposing product implementation; * Identify opportunities to improve coding practices, documentation, testing, and other development processes; * Serve as a subject-matter expert regarding your product domain—gathering requirements, proposing solutions, evaluating alternatives, and conducting training sessions; * Suggest improvements to development department processes based on your technical expertise to optimize your own and others’ deliverables. Requirements and Qualifications **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology or related fields. Preferred: Enrolled in postgraduate studies, specialization, or MBA in the relevant field. Specific Knowledge: * Programming logic; * Databases; * Programming language used by the team (e.g., ADVPL, C#, Progress, 4GL, Java, others); * Fundamentals of unit testing; * Software architecture (e.g., client-server, web, etc.); * Agile software development methodologies; * Business rules of the product in your area of expertise.
