Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant for the Brazilian branch of an Italian company in Sorocaba, responsible for accounting, financial, and reporting activities, with focus on Brazilian accounting principles and IFRS. Key Highlights: 1. Active and passive cycle management, fixed asset registration, and inventory. 2. General accounting entries and financial statement closing. 3. Collaboration in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. **Italian company opening a branch in Sorocaba for the Senior Accountant position.** Responsibilities: Ensure proper management of the active and passive cycles, regular maintenance of fixed asset records, and monitoring and updating of inventory. Ensure proper and timely management of the company’s bank accounts. Perform all general accounting entries (e.g., depreciation, allocations and advances, provisions for risks, taxes, etc.) and preliminary entries for financial statement closing, in accordance with Brazilian accounting principles for statutory financial statements and IFRS for consolidated financial statements. Ensure proper management of expense reports and related payroll accounting flows. Collaborate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts together with headquarters functions. Contribute to the development of quarterly and annual financial forecasts to predict future cash flow performance. Monitor economic and financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, and propose corrective actions. Support the control and management of corporate indirect costs (G\&A), implementing effective cost allocation methods to improve accounting transparency and efficiency. Collaborate with external consultants and the headquarters tax department. Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Economics/Finance, or related fields. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in equivalent roles, preferably within structured corporate groups. Solid knowledge of Brazilian accounting principles and major tax regulations. Basic knowledge of IFRS required. Familiarity with SAP S4/HANA is highly desirable. Strong report drafting skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel). **Strong written and spoken English proficiency.** Excellent communication and listening skills.
