As a **Data Engineer**, you will join the **Technology** team and be responsible for designing, implementing, evolving, and maintaining data platform pipelines on AWS, as well as other duties relevant to the role.
**Responsibilities and Duties** **On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:**
* Designing, implementing, evolving, and maintaining data platform pipelines on AWS, including ETL/ELT pipelines and dimensional modeling;
* Developing and maintaining data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines in GCP environments;
* Defining and applying data modeling standards (relational and dimensional), including star schema modeling for analytical consumption;
* Structuring data following modern architectures such as Data Lake and Medallion (Bronze, Silver, and Gold);
* Collaborating with business areas to translate requirements into clear and consistent data models;
* Ensuring data quality, governance, security, and compliance throughout the entire data lifecycle;
* Monitoring and optimizing cloud performance and costs (FinOps);
* Acting as a technical reference, leading engineering best practices, code reviews, and data architecture evolution;
* Leading the creation, experimentation, and evolution of AI-based solutions, including developing agents, intelligent automations, and integrating large language models (LLMs) into data pipelines and products;
* Identifying opportunities to improve development pipeline efficiency through AI, proposing and implementing improvements to engineering processes, code quality, testing, and observability;
* Designing and implementing integrations between data services and generative AI solutions, ensuring scalability, governance, and responsible data usage.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **For this position, the following are required:**
* Proficiency in Python and SQL;
* Experience with relational databases;
* Experience with ETL/ELT tools;
* Expertise in AWS cloud services (Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, S3, DMS, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, IAM, Secrets Manager, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Crawlers);
* Experience with modern data architectures (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Medallion);
* Knowledge of DataOps practices and data observability;
* Experience with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines;
* Mastery of FinOps practices.
**Nice-to-have**
* AWS certifications;
* Experience with CDP tools;
* Knowledge of GA4 and BigQuery;
* Experience with Snowflake or Databricks;
* Experience integrating AI models (LLMs), building agents, or using generative AI APIs;
* Knowledge of AWS data governance tools.
