Pre-Sales Cloud Solution Architect

A **Compass UOL**, a company within the AI/R ecosystem, is seeking an **AWS Solutions Architect** to work on strategic digital transformation and cloud migration projects for major clients across Latin America. This role will play a fundamental part in defining cloud architectures, migration strategies, governance, security, and business continuity, supporting clients through complex technological modernization journeys. We are looking for a professional with a consulting mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to make technical decisions in dynamic environments—balancing technical excellence, business acumen, and results orientation. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Conduct technical discovery sessions with clients and translate business needs into actionable architectures and proposals for delivery; * Design and advocate AWS migration solutions (the 7 Rs), mapping dependencies, planning migration waves, and anticipating cutover windows; * Design Landing Zones (multi\-account, VPN/Direct Connect connectivity, identity, compliance guardrails) and Disaster Recovery strategies with clear RTO/RPO definitions; * Lead executive and technical meetings, adapting language to the audience; * Produce artifacts (scope, architecture, assumptions, estimates) for proposals, focusing on iterative deliveries; * Estimate migration effort and costs, proactively identifying critical risks; * Collaborate closely with the sales team without compromising technical integrity, flagging technical infeasibilities before committing to deadlines. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Clear communication and ability to articulate technical decisions under time pressure; * Practical mindset: deliver with partial information, use explicit assumptions, and renegotiate transparently; * Solid hands\-on experience with AWS: compute, networking (VPC, TGW, VPN), storage, and identity; * Knowledge of Landing Zone implementations (Control Tower / LZA), Service Control Policies (SCPs), and security baselines; * Experience with AWS migration tools (MGN, DRS, DMS), including wave planning and performance troubleshooting; * Knowledge of cross\-region Disaster Recovery, including RTO/RPO definitions, strategy selection, and drills; * Proficiency with AWS databases (RDS, Aurora, EC2\), including understanding when not to use RDS and heterogeneous migrations via DMS; * Awareness of Latin American compliance frameworks (CONSAR, CNBV, LGPD or equivalents); * Willingness to travel; * **Fluent Spanish** **Desirable** * Prior experience in pre\-sales or consulting, and large\-scale enterprise projects; * AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Database Specialty, Advanced Networking); * Knowledge of EKS, VMware Cloud on AWS; * Hands\-on experience in migration projects Compass UOL is a global firm and part of the AI Revolution Company, together transforming organizations using Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and other of today’s most advanced technologies.
