Description
**What is the mission?**
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for evolving and operating, in a secure manner, the infrastructure and delivery pipelines that support Educbank's applications. Your primary mission is to ensure engineering teams deliver with speed, reliability, and security — automating everything that can be automated and maintaining production environments that are resilient and observable.
**What will you do daily?**
Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions, reducing time from commit to production, increasing delivery reliability, and ensuring pipeline security.
*
Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform across AWS environments (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2, etc.) and Azure environments (Container Apps, Azure Functions, Storages, etc.).
*
Automate recurring operational tasks, eliminating manual and repetitive work.
*
Enhance platform observability with Datadog: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts.
*
Ensure resilience, scalability, and availability of production environments.
*
Actively participate in root cause analyses of technical incidents, efficiently isolating failures and proposing corrective/preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
*
Support database operations for MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and messaging systems with Kafka (provisioning, backups, monitoring, and tuning).
*
Apply security practices across pipelines and infrastructure: secret management, principle of least privilege, and protection against supply chain attacks in CI/CD.
*
Collaborate with development squads, unblocking infrastructure needs and promoting DevOps best practices.
*
* Document technical decisions and operational procedures (runbooks) in a structured manner.
**What does Educbank expect from you?**
Solid experience with AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, ALB, EC2, RDS, ECR, IAM, VPC, S3, etc.).
*
Knowledge of Azure (Container Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, etc.).
*
Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
*
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
*
Experience with containers and Docker.
*
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog: metric collection, log centralization, and alert creation.
*
Operational knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
*
Knowledge of distributed systems and messaging systems such as Kafka.
*
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash).
*
Source code repository management (Git).
*
* Experience with AI-assisted development.
**To go further:**
* Experience in startups or fintechs.
* Familiarity with the .NET/C# and Python ecosystems (the applications you’ll operate are built on .NET).
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
*
* Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
