We are seeking a professional to provide application support for payment systems at one of Brazil's largest insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform troubleshooting and in-depth investigation of failures and issues, such as slowdowns or inconsistencies in the payment flow (e.g., Pix, Credit/Debit Cards).
* Apply analytical skills to interpret logs, metrics, and system data, rapidly and accurately identifying root causes of incidents.
* Develop and implement bug fixes in Java code, while also optimizing performance and MongoDB queries.
* Actively monitor the production environment using observability tools such as Dynatrace, and create monitoring tags and dashboards as needed.
* Actively participate in problem and incident management, collaborating with partner teams to ensure SLA compliance and application health.
* Proactively explore and reverse-engineer unexpected system behaviors, proposing definitive architectural improvements to prevent issue recurrence.
Essential Requirements:
* Solid backend development experience with Java.
* Practical experience troubleshooting production systems.
* Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
* Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
* Basic experience with cloud computing services, preferably AWS.
* Demonstrated strong analytical capability for diagnosing complex problems — essential in a support context.
* Practical experience with Event-Driven Architecture and messaging (Publisher/Subscriber), including asynchronous flows, queues, topics, and resilience concepts (e.g., retry, dead-letter queue).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Incident Management processes and workflows.
* Experience with Payment Systems.
* Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira) for task, incident, and change management (RDM).
