Description

Systems engineering is a multifunctional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both business and customers' technical needs, aiming to deliver a high-quality product that meets users' requirements. The discipline that executes a robust system design, development, and optimization process, comprising identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternative system design concepts, performance of design studies, selection and implementation of optimal designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. A process that proceeds from concept through production to operation. Responsible for the quality of one's own work. Subject to direct supervision of operations/work instructions/system verification as prescribed. Works within a well-defined operational framework. Typically, there is a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks that must be followed to achieve a final outcome. **Job Description** =================== Essential Responsibilities * Analyze technical and functional project requirements, supporting the definition of technical solutions aligned with customer and business needs. * Develop and review technical documentation, including specifications, signal lists, control logic, programming documentation, testing, and commissioning documentation. * Support programming, configuration, validation, and testing of automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and control interfaces. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integration of components, subsystems, and complete systems, ensuring compatibility and appropriate performance. * Participate in verification and validation activities, including system testing, commissioning support, and field performance monitoring. * Identify technical risks and propose mitigation actions, supporting engineering decisions and technical negotiations with internal teams and partners. * Provide technical support for existing systems, performing failure analysis, troubleshooting, and monitoring improvements for operational systems. * Interact with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear, concise, and effective communication regarding technical progress, required adjustments, and next steps in the project. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. * Fluent English and Portuguese, with proficiency in technical reading, writing, and communication. * Experience with CREO, EPLAN, and Power BI. * Basic knowledge of industrial automation and/or systems engineering. * Ability to produce technical documentation and interpret engineering requirements. * Availability and interest in performing programming, testing, and technical support for automation systems. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to interact professionally, clearly, and collaboratively with customers. * Analytical, organized profile with interest in continuous learning. **Desired Qualifications** * Strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, problem-solving capability, and autonomy. * Prior experience or exposure to PLCs such as S7, RSLogix, CODESYS, P80i, GEMCAD, or similar. * Prior experience or exposure to SCADA systems such as Wonderware Archestra, iFix, Cimplicity, Proficy Machine Edition, Citect, or similar. * Interest or experience in industrial automation, control systems, or maritime applications. * Knowledge of commissioning, acceptance testing, system integration, or field support. **Additional Information** ========================== **Relocation Assistance Provided:** No
