**Tech Lead** ============= **Tech · Specialist · Hands-on technical leadership (no direct people management) · 100% remote · PJ · Reports to Head of Product / CTO** **The Mission** ------------ Be the link between product and engineering: monitor the team's daily work, unblock deliveries, negotiate scope side by side with the PM, and ensure that a small, senior team delivers business impact with technical quality **without stopping coding.** **What you will do** ------------------------ * **Ensure the team delivers the cycle with predictability.** Refinement, delivery breakdown, and technical prioritization happen together with the PM. Large deliveries are turned into slices that validate hypotheses faster. * **Don't let anyone be stuck for more than a day.** Notice blockages before they become delays and unblock them — by pairing, redesigning, renegotiating scope, or taking the decision upon yourself. * **Turn scope negotiation into team practice.** *"What we cut, what we don't cut."* Deliver value first, gain business trust, and use that trust to negotiate the next one better. Product × tech conflict becomes a trade-off conversation, not an arm-wrestling match. * **Sustain the system design rhythm.** Every new project goes through doc + asynchronous feedback + decision call. You ensure the rhythm, give the sharpest feedback, and hammer down the impasse. * **Continue delivering production code.** Own project or pairing on critical fronts. Most of the day is hands-on — leadership happens through the work, not instead of it. * **Make the team grow technically:** code reviews that teach, pairing oriented to growth (not just unblocking), structure that makes new hires ramp up faster. Your technical decisions count for the whole team: standards, contracts between projects, technical priority of the cycle, what enters and leaves scope together with the PM. What affects another Stream, structural infra cost, or product direction, align with leadership before closing. Any technical or scope impasse that is blocking delivery within the team is yours: you take it and decide. **Requirements** -------------- **Mandatory:** * **Proven backend depth:** Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js/TypeScript (NestJS), mastery of concurrency, throughput, and cost trade-offs. Capable of taking the most difficult project of the cycle and delivering it. * **Architecture in service of product speed:** domain modeling (DDD), anti-corruption layer for suppliers, modular monolith × microservices with judgment. Structure that allows launching new products quickly without reinventing the wheel for each project. * **Distributed systems and integrations:** idempotency, queues, near real-time asynchronous processing, transactional × analytical consistency, critical integrations (suppliers, B2B customer data). * **Cloud, observability, and CI/CD at design level:** GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run) and/or AWS, Terraform, OpenTelemetry. Test and deploy structure that gives the whole team confidence to ship fast. * **Applied AI with governance:** agent orchestration, RAG, evals.
