Senior FinOps Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud Governance and Efficiency team. This professional will act as the bridge between Technology, Finance, and Business areas, responsible for driving financial management of cloud environments—ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, and financial predictability. The challenge will be to support the organization’s FinOps maturity evolution by implementing best practices in governance, automation, observability, and continuous optimization of cloud investments. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Cloud Financial Management** Continuously monitor costs across Multi\-Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud); Identify consumption deviations, anomalies, and opportunities for financial optimization; Develop cost, usage, and trend analyses to support decision-making; Support the creation and tracking of Cloud budget and forecast. **Cost Optimization** Identify cost reduction opportunities through: Rightsizing, idle resources, scheduled shutdowns, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Storage optimization, and Networking optimization; Track savings metrics (Cost Avoidance and Cost Savings). **FinOps Governance** Define, implement, and maintain financial governance policies for cloud environments; Create and audit tagging strategies for accurate cost allocation; Ensure Chargeback and Showback processes for products, projects, and business units; Define KPIs to track FinOps maturity. **Dashboards and Metrics** Build executive and operational dashboards for cloud cost monitoring; Develop financial metrics tailored to different audiences (Executives, Technology, and Business); Produce periodic reports on consumption, budget, optimizations, and financial forecasts. **FinOps Culture** Promote FinOps framework best practices across technical teams; Support architects, SREs, and engineering teams in building financially efficient solutions. **Observability and Operational Efficiency** Use observability tools to identify infrastructure optimization opportunities; Correlate technical metrics with financial impact; Support automation initiatives focused on operational efficiency. **Requirements and Qualifications** Solid experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or Cloud Cost Management; Knowledge of Multi\-Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud); Familiarity with cost optimization strategies and financial governance; Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial and technical metrics; Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical, finance, and executive stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications** FinOps Foundation certification; AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications; Knowledge of Kubernetes and containers; **Technical Requirements** IBM Instana IBM Turbonomic IBM Apptio ApptioOne IBM Cloudability IBM Kubecost IBM Targetprocess **Cloud Providers** Hands-on experience with at least one of the following providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) **Additional Information** Analytical and data-driven profile; Business-oriented mindset with focus on value generation; Organized and detail-oriented; Clear communication with both technical and executive audiences; Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities; Ability to collaborate effectively across Technology, Finance, and Business. **Expected Profile** We seek a professional who goes beyond basic cost analysis.
