The focus is on designing the platform’s foundation (not just writing models), ensuring scalability, governance, automation, and reliability. We will work with dbt Fusion / dbt Core 2\.0\. **Responsibilities** * Design and implement the dbt platform architecture on Databricks (Unity Catalog, medallion layers: bronze/silver/gold). * Structure the dbt project: modeling standards, naming conventions, layers (staging/intermediate/marts), macros, tests, and documentation. * Build CI/CD pipelines for dbt (validation, build, testing, environment-specific deployment — dev/staging/prod). * Automate provisioning and operations via IaC (Terraform) and DevOps practices. * Optimize cost and performance (clusters, SQL Warehouses, Photon, partitioning, incremental processing). * Define data governance and security (Unity Catalog, access control, masking/sensitive data obfuscation). * Mentor the team on analytical engineering best practices and review code (PRs). **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience with dbt (Core), including incremental models, snapshots, macros (Jinja), tests, packages, and exposures **(minimum 4 years).** * Practical experience with Databricks: Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses, clusters, Delta Lake, Workflows **(minimum 4 years).** * Advanced SQL and dimensional modeling (Kimball, star schema) / data vault is desirable. * CI/CD applied to data: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. * Git and collaborative workflows (trunk-based development or GitFlow, PRs, code reviews). * DevOps / IaC: Terraform, environment management, secrets, and configuration. * Scripting language: Python. * Culture of automated testing, versioning, and reproducible deployments. **Desirable (Differentiators)** * Experience with dbt Fusion and/or migration to dbt Core 2\.0 (new Rust engine, dbt\-sa, accelerated parsing/compilation). * Knowledge of orchestration tools (Databricks Workflows, Airflow, Dagster). * Experience with Spark and PySpark beyond SQL use cases. * Containers and reproducible environments (Docker). * Data cataloging/observability (dbt docs, Elementary, Monte Carlo, OpenLineage). * Experience with sensitive data masking / LGPD and compliance. * Relevant cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP), aligned with the hosted Databricks environment. **Platform Stack** * dbt Fusion / dbt Core 2\.0 · Databricks · Unity Catalog · Delta Lake · Terraform · Python · GitHub Actions · SQL * **100% Remote Work** * **Project Duration: Until Dec/2026, with possible extension into 2027.** **Additional Information** **At our company, you’ll find a collaborative environment and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your growth, health, and quality of life.
