Job Summary: We are looking for a curious, proactive, and impact-driven Ruby on Rails Developer to work autonomously on developing scalable APIs. Key Highlights: 1. High autonomy and end-to-end quality focus. 2. Strong technical culture and appreciation for internal teams. 3. Growth opportunities in a knowledge-sharing culture. We are seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to join the engineering team of one of our Health clients — one of the largest health benefits platforms in Brazil and Mexico, providing access to over 29,000 gyms across more than 2,500 cities. This company boasts a strong technical culture, extremely low turnover, and deep appreciation for internal teams. We seek curious, proactive professionals with a business-impact mindset who master Flutter but are genuinely willing to navigate other technologies within the ecosystem (TypeScript and Flutter), understanding the product from end to end. You will operate with high autonomy, developing and growing in an environment where quality is the direct responsibility of the developer — without separate QA teams: developers build, test, guarantee, and maintain. **Responsibilities and Duties** **What You’ll Do** * Develop and maintain scalable, resilient RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails. * Participate in the full development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring. * Drive evolution of the core (monolith) as well as microservices and integrations with partners (e.g., ERPs, payment gateways, external platforms). * Ensure technical quality through code reviews, engineering best practices (Clean Code, SOLID), and team standards. * Monitor and optimize performance: APM, resource tuning, query analysis and improvement. * Work in multidisciplinary squads using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating closely between engineering and product. * Navigate across contexts (when required) with teams and workflows in TypeScript and mobile, maintaining a systemic perspective. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We’re Looking For** * Proven senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails. * Proficiency in REST APIs (design, documentation, and consumption). * Solid experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling. * Experience with Git/GitHub. * Strong familiarity with automated testing (e.g., RSpec — and understanding of unit, integration, and black-box testing approaches). * Hands-on Cloud experience (AWS). * Ownership mindset: autonomy, proactivity, and focus on delivering value with technical accountability. **Nice-to-Have** * Microservices architecture and messaging (AWS SNS/SQS). * Docker and Kubernetes. * NoSQL databases and caches/queues: Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB. * CI/CD experience (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD). * Spanish (not mandatory). **Additional Information** **Work Model** * Remote work. * CLT employment model. * International interactions exclusively via written communication. * Fluency in other languages is not required, but is considered a plus. **Here, we are \#SangueLaranja!** We’ve been in the market for 17 years, side by side with our clients, delivering transformative experiences. We are a global technology and innovation ecosystem; beyond Brazil, we operate in Europe and the UK, with offices in Portugal, London, Dubai, and the Netherlands. **F for Formation: We believe in practicing a culture of knowledge sharing, community awareness, and the transformative power of knowledge!** We run initiatives and social actions promoting development, such as the Orange Juice tech community, the Training Program, our leadership school, and numerous partnerships with NGOs and Edtechs. **At FCamara, everyone is welcome — Diversity, Respect, and Ethics are non-negotiable elements that form part of our DNA.** **So, are you ready to join an amazing team and become the protagonist of your own story?**
