Job Summary: Maintenance professional responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and functionality of temples and buildings through surface preparation and painting, defect correction, and material mixing. Key Highlights: 1. Perform building maintenance to ensure safe and functional environments 2. Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques to correct defects 3. Handle and mix paints to achieve specific colors and qualities **Description:** Our Maintenance department’s objective within the institution is to provide all members and visitors with access to safe, comfortable, and functional temples and buildings. Responsibilities Inspect work to be performed, observing measurements, positioning, and the condition of surfaces to be painted, determining required procedures and materials. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, brushing, and removing old or damaged paint using scrapers, sandpaper, solvents, and air jets to eliminate residues, as well as retouching flaws and seams to correct defects and improve paint adhesion. Prepare paint materials by mixing paints, pigments, oil, diluents, and drying agents in appropriate proportions to achieve specified color and quality. Paint surfaces by applying one or multiple coats using rollers, brushes, or spray guns. Perform other duties pertinent to the role. Requirements High school or elementary education. Relevant work experience required. Professional training or certification in the field is desirable. Valid NR35 certification is required. Willingness to travel within the state.
