About the Position **Required Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, preferably with postgraduate studies in School Library Management or Literature. **Requirements and Preferences:** Knowledge of and experience managing public and school libraries; Knowledge of and experience in technical processing of library collections; Preference for experience with literary reading mediation projects; Active registration with CRB (Regional Council of Library Science); Brazilian National Driver’s License Category B. **Your Daily Responsibilities:** Monitor and deliver library services while tracking productivity statistics; hire artists and organize literary mediation events; provide technical cooperation to other institutional departments. Promote and disseminate library-related events and supervise service teams. Conduct technical visits to units affiliated with the operational hub. Organize, implement, and evaluate library-related activities. Plan and develop cultural projects with emphasis on literary mediation. Prepare and correct tests; select library service staff; Train and guide library service teams; perform system registration and access control. Supervise Library Science interns. Prepare reports related to collection management, services, and projects. Contract advisory services and service providers. Collaborate in developing service and procedure manuals... Monitor the execution of targets and budgets for systematic library project work plans; Develop action plans, proposals for promoting library services and projects, and seek partnerships; Manage the collection: selection, acquisition, technical processing (classification, cataloging, indexing), conservation, withdrawal, and inventory; Monitor collection circulation; advise on registration and loan rules; manage service procedures for school groups and the general public; monitor overdue rates; Provide public library services for consultation and loan of materials; Promote and mediate reading promotion activities for all audiences (children, youth, adults, seniors, people with disabilities). ⏰ Workload 44 hours per week Availability for travel; Availability to work some weekends.
