Job Summary: The professional will work in Intensive Care Units, providing patient care focused on quality, humanization, and efficiency of nursing services, in accordance with institutional standards. Contribution to process improvement and patient safety * Perform activities in Intensive Care Units, ensuring service quality and humanized care for clients, within defined quality standards, guaranteeing service efficiency and effectiveness, achieving established goals, and contributing to institutional outcomes; * Provide patient care by performing procedures according to one's competence and complexity level and, as applicable to the scope of practice, monitoring process effectiveness and evaluating the quality of services delivered through humanized assistance. **Responsibilities and Duties** JOB MISSION * Perform activities at nursing stations, ensuring service quality and humanized care for clients, within defined quality standards, guaranteeing service efficiency and effectiveness, achieving established goals, and contributing to institutional outcomes within the Intensive Care Unit sector; * Manage material resources at one's workplace; * Provide patient care by performing procedures according to one's competence and complexity level and, as applicable to the scope of practice, monitoring process effectiveness and evaluating the quality of services delivered through assistance; * Provide support services in the clinical area, prioritizing humanization and quality of performed processes. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide courteous and efficient service to patients and clients, suggesting procedural modifications when they conflict with required practices to ensure quality and institutional service standards; * Respond to requests from the Intensive Care Unit Nurse; * Monitor Intensive Care Unit patients daily; * Facilitate staff reallocation to other units as needed; * Perform technical procedures specific to the role; * Provide patient care respecting technical, ethical, and scientific principles; * Participate in Continuing Education programs; * Develop nursing care plans for patients; * Accompany medical rounds whenever possible and/or upon request; * Assist in shift handover; * Demonstrate assiduity, punctuality, and discipline; * Request supplies and medications; * Control equipment, supplies, and medications; * Participate in nursing research; * Collaborate with students and faculty during internships; * Conduct annual performance evaluations of nursing technicians within respective sectors; * Support development of service organization manuals, routines, and procedures; collect data for managerial reports and departmental indicators; propose improvements and corrective actions aimed at service quality and safety, as well as implementation of the strategic plan defined by management; * Suggest improvements to the Nurse to enhance area process efficiency and effectiveness, optimizing financial, physical, and human resources while ensuring deadlines and appropriate synchronization of work progress to meet established goals; * Maintain a high standard of humanized, professional, efficient, and effective service to achieve superior performance levels and exceed client expectations; * Critically evaluate safety and quality of clinical services provided to patients, modifying procedures when they conflict with required practices to ensure quality and institutional service standards; * Identify patients per the double-check protocol prior to each new procedure, ensuring patient safety; * Interact with other hospital support services to facilitate and expedite patient care; * Execute work plans seeking optimization of financial, physical, and human resources, ensuring deadlines and appropriate synchronization of work progress to meet departmental needs and guarantee service quality and excellence; * Record nursing actions, observations, care, and procedures using legible and appropriate language for documentation; * Provide direct patient care and assist support staff with procedures; * Select materials and equipment for specific procedures, as well as prepare routine reports and documents; * Administer prescribed medications following the double-check protocol; * Document patient progress in medical records and other documents; * Perform vital signs checks and monitor patients in observation rooms; * Register, archive, and receive copies of examination results; * Provide general information about the Hospital; **Requirements and Qualifications** REQUIREMENTS Completed Nursing Technician qualification Active COREN registration Knowledge of hospital care guidelines and regulations, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, COFEN resolutions, International Patient Safety Goals, and Institutional Patient Safety Plan.
