Analysis of hydraulic transients and pumping systems **Job Summary:** We are seeking an **Engineering Assistant** to work on **hydromechanical and hydraulic projects**, providing technical support during calculation, sizing, and documentation phases. This person will be responsible for **preparing reports, preliminary\-sizing documents, and calculation memoranda**, ensuring accuracy, technical consistency, and quality in deliverables. ### **Responsibilities:** * Prepare **technical and descriptive reports for hydromechanical and hydraulic projects**, with clarity and appropriate technical language; * Perform **hydraulic preliminary sizing** of water supply, pumping, and conveyance systems; * Develop **detailed calculation memoranda**, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project assumptions; * Analyze **hydraulic transients**, identifying risks and ensuring pumping systems operate safely and efficiently; * Support engineers in technical analyses and in standardizing project processes and documentation; * Contribute to the **organization of technical documentation** and control of project versions and revisions. ### **Requirements:** * Degree in **Civil Engineering**, **Hydraulic Engineering**, **Mechanical Engineering**, or **THSA (Hydraulic and Environmental Sanitation Technician)**; * Knowledge of **hydromechanical and hydraulic projects**, **preliminary\-sizing**, and **calculation memoranda**; * Familiarity with **hydraulic transients** and operating principles of **pumps and pumping systems**; * **Excellent technical and academic writing skills**, with ability to produce high\-level technical reports; * Proficiency in **Excel**, **Epanet**, and calculation tools. ### **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in **sanitation, pumping stations, and complex hydraulic networks**; * Knowledge of hydraulic and hydromechanical software (Epanet, WaterCAD, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, among others); * Experience in consulting engineering environments or infrastructure companies.
