Job Summary: Nutritionist responsible for providing nutritional care to patients, individualizing diets, supervising teams, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings to optimize patient care. Participation in a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care Participate in nutritional care activities for patients, technically analyzing diets and the appropriate utilization of dietary resources, aiming to meet patients' nutritional needs at the unit with quality. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Collect medical prescriptions and determine the diet therapy applied to each patient, seeking to individualize diets as well as verify fasting periods and preparation for examinations; * Correct kitchen staff meal distribution records and provide guidance on meal delivery; * Visit hospitalized children daily to adapt their diets to their habits; * Evaluate the acceptability of diets prepared by kitchen staff, conducting visits to patients who did not eat or only partially accepted their diets, aiming to improve dietary acceptance; * Supervise activities performed by kitchen and lactation staff, as well as the organization of kitchens and lactation rooms; * Actively participate in refresher training programs for kitchen and lactation staff; * Collaborate, as facilitators of work, in engaging the team across all processes; * Guide lactation staff regarding the provision of enteral diets and lactose-based formulas, updating diet charts, bottle feeding records, and water intake logs; * Perform percentage calculations for preparing various lactose-based formulas and provide guidance on preparing fruit juices and fruit purees for infants; * Conduct nutritional screening of hospitalized patients, classifying them as positive or negative risk, and initiating nutritional intervention within 72 hours (from admission); * Nutritionally assess patients undergoing enteral nutrition therapy, reassessing them monthly to detect clinical and nutritional progress; * Document nutritional assessments and interventions in medical records, capturing key details relevant to the composition of the nutritional intervention to be applied; * Provide discharge counseling to patients receiving enteral nutrition therapy and those with special nutritional needs; * Refer all patients receiving enteral nutrition therapy for outpatient follow-up after hospital discharge; * Participate, as a member of the multidisciplinary nutritional therapy team, in meetings focused on workflow routines, seeking alternatives to enhance the effectiveness of nutritional care and patient attention; * Attend medical rounds, scientific meetings, and technical discussions related to nutrition, aiming to exchange information that may improve nutritional intervention processes and foster collaboration with other professionals involved in patient recovery; * Provide outpatient care for employees and patients; * Perform statistical control of meals served to patients, numerically recording total meals served per clinical unit (including enteral feeds, bottles, and supplements) and assisting in waste control; * Monitor enteral diets administered to patients and correlate them with prescribed diets, analyzing complications and difficulties in applying enteral nutrition therapy; * Actively contribute to refining quality indicators related to nutritional intervention; * Serve as an information bridge between the clinical area and food production; Perform other duties as required or at the discretion of the supervisor. * **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Nutrition; * Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy certification preferred; * Proficiency in basic computer applications; * Active CRN registration.
