With offices in Uberlândia (MG) and São Paulo (SP), and team members located across hundreds of cities, TQI has earned and maintained the Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification for over 7 years, and ranks in the GPTW Technology Top 80+, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a diverse, innovative, and high-performance work environment. **Contract Model:** PJ #### **Your Responsibilities (Key Duties)** * Design and maintain robust, scalable, and well-documented RESTful APIs using Spring Boot in Java and/or Kotlin. * Integrate internal and external systems by applying best practices in interoperability and messaging with Apache Kafka. * Actively contribute to solution architecture, proposing technical and structural improvements within an AWS-based microservices environment. * Practice Spec-Driven Development (SDD) — writing structured specifications as the single source of truth for implementation, review, and assisted code generation. * Leverage AI-powered engineering tools (Kiro AWS and Claude Code) daily to accelerate implementation, code review, refactoring, test writing, and technical documentation generation. * Conduct code reviews, ensure technical quality, and promote a culture of excellence across the team. * Optimize and monitor application performance, ensuring high availability and resilience in production. * Document solutions and technical decisions (ADRs, specs, OpenAPI), supporting team growth. * Collaborate on technical requirement analysis, prototyping, and estimation alongside product and architecture teams. #### **What We Expect From You (Requirements)** * Java, with strong command of modern language best practices (Records, Sealed Classes, Pattern Matching, Virtual Threads, etc.). * Kotlin for backend development, with deep familiarity of modern language features (Null Safety, Data Classes, Sealed Classes, Coroutines, Extension Functions) and seamless Java interoperability. * Spring Boot — building REST APIs, security, testing, and service integration. * Apache Kafka, SQS, and SNS — hands-on experience with messaging, event production/consumption, and asynchronous integration. * Interoperability — proven experience in projects involving system integration (REST, events, queues, legacy systems). * AWS — practical experience with services such as RDS, ECS, EC2 (or equivalent cloud services) applied to software development. * Proficiency in PostgreSQL, and non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra. * Experience with unit, component, and integration testing. * API documentation and versioning using Swagger / OpenAPI. * Build tools (Maven or Gradle) and dependency management. * Git version control and Git Flow. * Practical experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) — writing structured specs, requirements, design artifacts, and tasks as primary development deliverables. * Hands-on experience with Kiro or Claude Code in the development workflow — refactoring, test generation, PR review, documentation creation, and agent-driven terminal task execution. * Application monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, Datadog). #### **Nice-to-Haves** * Solid understanding of Hexagonal Architecture, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), and Clean Architecture. * Experience with CI/CD, containers (Docker), and deployment pipelines. * Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). * Prior experience in the financial sector, core banking, or fintechs. **What We Offer:** You’ll join diverse, high-performing teams in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
