**A Summary of What We Seek**
Are you seeking a purpose-driven career with direct involvement in conservation? As an Intern, you will support technical and administrative activities to advance our public lands and freshwater strategy, engaging with science, field practices, and territorial and environmental planning processes in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
**Position Description**
The Intern provides technical and administrative support to Conservation teams, contributing to the smooth operation of daily routines and the organization of information used in projects.
You will assist in collecting, organizing, updating, and recording data, documents, and internal systems, as well as help prepare materials, meetings, events, and logistical activities. You will also support administrative processes related to travel, contracts, time tracking, and updating management tools.
This position works under the guidance of more experienced professionals, performing tasks according to defined procedures and always under supervision, with direct impact on the team’s daily activities.
We will support direct community-based conservation actions and other market-based solutions critical to protecting millions of hectares of public forests in the Amazon and strengthening the management and quality of Amazonian rivers.
**Responsibilities and Scope**
**General**
* Provide technical and administrative support to Conservation teams, contributing to the organization and execution of project activities, always under supervisory guidance. Examples:
+ Collect, organize, enter, and maintain up-to-date data, files, spreadsheets, records, physical or digital documents, and internal management and control tools.
+ Assist in preparing reports, presentations, clippings, newsletters, and other supporting materials.
+ Support the organization of meetings, events, workshops, and webinars, including logistical and administrative activities such as team travel, agenda and appointment scheduling.
+ Support administrative tracking of contracts, time allocation records, and operational deadlines.
+ Interact with team members, other TNC offices, and vendors to exchange information and support ongoing activities.
* Adhere to and promote TNC’s Code of Conduct and internal procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional values, internal policies, legal requirements, safety, resource use, and accountability.
* Safeguard the integrity, organization, and confidentiality of information, ensuring accuracy and traceability of data generated within project contexts.
* Activities may occur under varied climatic and terrain conditions, including remote and physically challenging locations.
**Specific**
* Assist in administrative and financial interactions with communities, maintaining organized and traceable documentation, with special attention to detail for accountability purposes.
**Work Schedule**: 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week
**What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications)**
* **Minimum Education**: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
* Ability to organize information, files, and documents.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly and respectfully.
* Proficiency in writing, editing, or reviewing simple written materials.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet navigation).
* **Minimum Language**: Portuguese.
