Join BIX Technology! **What we expect from you:** * **AWS Services:** Solid experience provisioning and using AWS services such as DMS, S3, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, IAM (roles/policies), VPC/networking, etc; * **Streaming / Near-Real-Time (NRT) Architecture:** Experience designing near-real-time pipelines, processing semantics (at-least-once / exactly-once), and trade-offs between latency and consistency; * **CDC (Change Data Capture):** Experience with continuous change capture via redo logs, supplemental logging, and incremental replication; * **Apache Kafka:** Proven, solid production experience; * **Streaming / Event-Driven:** Proficiency in event-driven architectures and trade-offs among latency, throughput, and consistency; * **Snowflake:** Practical experience with ingestion and modeling in Snowflake; * **Advanced SQL and Data Modeling:** Relational and dimensional; * **IaC & CI/CD:** Terraform and deployment pipelines to provision and version streaming infrastructure; * **Advanced/Fluent English** for international collaboration. **Nice-to-Haves** * **Orchestration:** Airflow, Data Factory, or equivalent; * **Snowpipe / Snowpipe Streaming:** Experience with Snowflake’s native continuous ingestion will be a strong differentiator; * **Kafka Connect / Debezium:** Knowledge of CDC connectors integrated with Kafka; * Snowflake certification. **Your day-to-day responsibilities:** * **Streaming Pipelines:** Design, build, and maintain end-to-end real-time ingestion pipelines — from transactional sources and events to Snowflake; * **Kafka:** Model topics, partitioning, and retention; implement producers/consumers, manage schema evolution, and ensure appropriate delivery semantics (at-least-once / exactly-once as applicable); * **CDC and Source Integration:** Capture changes from source systems (including SAP and transactional databases) and transform them into consumable event streams; * **Snowflake Ingestion:** Operationalize continuous loading into Snowflake using near-real-time ingestion patterns, minimizing latency and cost; * **Reliability and Quality:** Implement failure handling, dead-letter queues, idempotency, backpressure, and data validation in transit; * **Observability:** Instrument metrics for lag, throughput, and freshness; define alerts and SLOs for data flows; * **Global Collaboration:** Work with the central platform team and business units (spokes), documenting data contracts and ingestion standards; * **Document architecture**, technical decisions, and conduct code reviews with the team; * **Conduct client meetings** via videoconference, developing strategic questions focused on their business/process at the start of each project or sprint; * Manage project activities using agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery for each new project; **What BIX offers you:** * 100% remote work; * Online therapy and nutritionist platform; * Well-being platform; * Accelerated career path; * Direct contact with leaders from major companies; * Distinctive environment (BIX Hour, team integrations and Happy Hours, Mentoring Program, 1-on-1 meetings); * Online English classes (Cambly); * Birthday leave.
