To check your application status, log in using your candidate credentials on our careers page, as it reflects any updates.** **Responsibilities/Profile:** * Operate specialized tooling machines—including conventional and CNC milling machines, lathes, machining centers, and other special-purpose equipment—as required by the department; * Prepare and adjust machines and workholding devices, performing tool setup, alignment, zeroing, and necessary adjustments to initiate and sustain operations; * **Develop, adjust, and optimize CNC programs directly on the machine control**, ensuring correct sequencing of operations, cutting parameters, safety, and part quality; * Perform machining of parts, dies, fixtures, and tooling components, ensuring dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish conform to engineering drawings and specifications; * Interpret mechanical engineering drawings, process plans, 3D models, tool lists, and work instructions; * Select cutting tools, define machining parameters (feed rate, spindle speed, depth of cut), and monitor production process performance, making adjustments as needed; * Conduct dimensional measurements using metrology instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, etc.; * Validate CNC programs through testing, simulation, and first-piece inspection, ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements; * Complete and maintain up-to-date process documentation, production records, time tracking, program adjustments, and quality controls; * Perform basic autonomous maintenance, cleaning, preservation, and inspection of machines, reporting failures, deviations, or anomalies to the Maintenance team; * Strictly comply with safety regulations, Safe Work Practices (SWP), signage, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies; * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, 5S, TPM, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement; * Maintain a clean and organized workplace and safeguard machines, tools, fixtures, and documentation under your responsibility. **Key Challenges of the Role:** Programming, setting up, and operating high-precision CNC tooling machines in a technically complex manufacturing environment—ensuring dimensional quality, program reliability, on-time delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. **Basic Qualifications:** **Education:** Technical training or coursework in Machining **Experience:** Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC Machine Operator/Programmer or in Tooling **Technical Knowledge:** * CNC programming (G and M codes); * Operation and setup of specialized CNC machines; * Reading and interpretation of mechanical engineering drawings; * Dimensional metrology; * Cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters; * Basic understanding of quality, geometric tolerances, and surface finish. **Computer Skills:** Basic computer literacy for record keeping and production systems. **Behavioral Competencies:** Attention to detail, accountability, commitment to safety, organization, operational discipline, teamwork, and effective communication.
