About the Role:
This position plays a key role in ensuring the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of integrated management systems, with focus on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative), and other applicable legal and consortium-specific requirements, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and effective control of documentation, per Regional formal requirements.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Implements and maintains integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ASI, and others) through regulatory requirement analysis, process definition, and performance indicator monitoring.
* Ensures legal and regulatory compliance by identifying, interpreting, and applying applicable legal requirements to the business and consortium members.
* Controls and updates Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation using digital tools and internal procedures to ensure traceability, standardization, and secure access to information.
* Coordinates internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and handling of non-conformities, driving corrective and preventive actions.
* Delivers training and capacity-building programs on management systems to engage teams and promote a culture of continual improvement.
* Collaborates with operational and administrative departments to facilitate integration of management systems into organizational processes.
* Monitors and reports IMS performance through management reports, supports management review meetings, and aids decision-making.
What You Can Bring to This Role:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Management, or related fields. Postgraduate studies or an MBA in Management Systems, Sustainability, or related areas are desirable.
* Proven experience in management systems, with direct involvement in implementing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ASI standards, as well as applicable legal requirements.
* Familiarity with ISO and ASI standards is desirable.
* Experience conducting internal and external audits.
* Proficiency in document control and process management tools (e.g., SoftExpert, SAP, SharePoint).
* Systemic thinking and results orientation; proactivity and problem-solving ability; clear and effective communication across all hierarchical levels.
* Willingness to reside in São Luís, MA.

About the Location
The Alumar Consortium, managed by Alcoa, is located 25 kilometers from the center of São Luís – MA, and began operations in 1984. It comprises companies with a long-standing tradition in alumina and aluminum production, with varying ownership stakes in the two plants that constitute the Complex.
