Development of native Android applications for critical workflows Context GoK works on digitally complex technical and business projects within transactional environments characterized by high data volume and stringent requirements for performance, stability, security, and governance. The professional will contribute to the development and evolution of critical mobile applications, focusing on architecture, code quality, user experience, and operational robustness, while addressing diverse technical contexts and challenges over time. Responsibilities * Develop and evolve native Android applications for critical business workflows * Design and evolve mobile architectures and development standards * Integrate applications with backend APIs and services, including BFFs and API Gateways * Ensure performance, stability, security, and code quality * Analyze and resolve complex issues, including those occurring in production * Conduct refactoring efforts aimed at scalability and long-term maintainability * Actively participate in code reviews and technical decision-making * Collaborate closely with backend, product, design, and QA teams * Operate in high-volume and mission-critical application environments Hard Skills and Technical Knowledge (Mandatory) * Solid experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin * Proficiency with Android SDK and Android Studio * In-depth knowledge of mobile architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) * Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs, including API Gateway and BFF * Mastery of the Android application lifecycle * Memory management and performance optimization * Local persistence (Room, SQLite or equivalent) * Knowledge of SQL and basic data modeling * Version control with Git in collaborative environments (PRs, code reviews) * Error handling, fallback mechanisms, and client-side resilience strategies * Best practices for code quality, organization, and modularization * Soft Skills * Clear and concise communication * Technical autonomy in task execution and solution design * Logical and systemic thinking * Organization and accountability for deliverables * Ability to question existing solutions and propose improvements * Strong collaboration with backend, product, design, and QA teams * Mature attitude in high-pressure environments and mission-critical applications Differentiators * Experience with Jetpack Compose and migration from legacy layouts * Automated testing (unit and instrumented tests) * Experience with distributed architectures and integration with microservices * Experience with CI/CD for mobile * Mobile observability (logs, metrics, crash analytics) * Mobile security (tokens, OAuth2, certificates, data protection) * Publishing, versioning, and release management on Google Play * Experience with feature flags and gradual rollouts Engagement * End-to-end involvement in the mobile development lifecycle * Continuous integration with backend, architecture, and product teams * Active participation in UAT, releases, and ongoing support * Continuous contribution to technical evolution, stability, and quality of GoK applications
