#### **Unlock the Chemistry of Life.**TM At Amyris, we pioneer the use of microbes to convert plant-derived sugars into high-performance molecules at scale. Our platform unlocks the sophisticated, intricate chemistry found in all living systems—enabling new product possibilities, market opportunities, and sustainability solutions. With proven scalability, we are redefining what renewable chemistry can achieve. Learn more at our website: https://amyris.com/ * Here at Amyris, we are a team of creative and innovative people. We value healthy relationships across diverse perspectives and are committed to fostering an inclusive culture—embracing differences in race, ethnicity, gender, religion, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Join our team! **Responsibilities:** * + Responsible for Factory Production Management to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time, on-budget, and on-quantity delivery of ingredients to meet production plan demand. + Participate in defining the Operations department’s strategic plans, as well as corporate policies and programs, when required. + Develop Production department OKRs, aligned with the Company’s strategic plan (higher-level OKRs). + Define KPIs for each functional area and KOPs (Key Operating Parameters) for each process, and monitor performance with the team. Adjust processes, implement corrective actions when necessary, and continuously improve the management system to mitigate future deviations and increase process sigma (i.e., greater robustness, precision, and lower variability). Note: KOPs to be monitored must align with parameters defined during technology transfers from R&D to Manufacturing. + Lead implementation, adherence to, and execution of Amyris’ Operational Excellence program within Production. + Lead key factory meetings related to production and facilitate DMAIC projects to improve productivity, quality (including microbiological quality), and reduce consumptions exceeding budget. + Improve existing Operational Standards and train the team under a strategy that enhances technical competencies of Supervision and Operations staff. For Supervisors, leadership development must also be included. + Daily support for Planning and Execution of maintenance activities in Fermentation and DSP areas, collaborating closely with the Maintenance team and participating in maintenance meetings. + Actively participate in other cross-functional working groups focused on the site’s top priorities. + Support interfacing departments within the site by providing assistance to ensure successful implementation and compliance of programs, activities, and procedures (EHS, Maintenance, R&D, Quality/Regulatory, Logistics, Engineering, HR, Finance, and Legal). **Requirements:** * + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or related fields. + Advanced English proficiency; + Knowledge of factory safety procedures, particularly NRs (Brazilian Regulatory Norms), LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Risk Assessment, and Work Permit systems, as well as safety behavior and culture. + Knowledge of Fermentation processes and Downstream Processing (DSP) unit operations, such as centrifugation and distillation (for DSP). + Knowledge of Maintenance methodologies: TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), with practical experience applying these systems in daily factory operations. + Operational Excellence / Lean Six Sigma: Black Belt certification preferred; minimum requirement is Green Belt. + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Thinking, Agile, Digital, Innovation, and Change Management), with hands-on experience applying them to improve operational performance. + Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, especially ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000.
