Introduction We are looking for an Administrative Production Assistant for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) to join our Steelmaking team. You will be responsible for accounting for, tabulating, and organizing data related to raw material usage in the steel plant; monitoring operational costs; and participating in internal inspections—including weighing and addition of raw materials—across all three shifts. You will play a crucial role in the success of our business. In this position, you will report to the Steelmaking Production Supervisor. This position is primarily located in Sorocaba/SP and may involve up to 5% domestic travel, if required. Team you’ll join You will join a team of steel production specialists dedicated to ensuring efficient control of raw material usage and optimizing production processes in the steel plant. Currently, we are working on operational improvements and tracking raw materials used in melting processes. We work closely with internal stakeholders such as production planning, quality, and logistics, as well as external raw material suppliers. Team members are based in Sorocaba and other Metso locations across the SAM region (Chile, Peru, and Brazil). What you’ll do Account for and tabulate data related to raw material usage in the steel plant; Monitor operational costs and ensure compliance with the budget; Participate in internal inspections, including weighing and addition of raw materials; Collaborate with production teams to ensure process efficiency; Prepare management reports on raw material usage and operational efficiency; Control and organize data in integrated systems for future analysis; Ensure safety and integrity during monitoring of operations in the scrap yard, steel plant, and tapping areas; Perform other professional duties related to and inherent in the role, as directed and requested by your immediate supervisor; Who you are Completed high school education; ongoing technical or higher education is preferred; Basic knowledge of cost control and data management; Experience in an industrial or steelmaking environment is preferred; Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel—Power BI is desirable; Availability to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, and night); Organized, detail-oriented, and possessing strong interpersonal communication skills; Committed to safety and operational compliance; Resident of Sorocaba or Votorantim.
