Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Job Summary: Develop, maintain, and enhance backend solutions using Java; design scalable architectures; and serve as the technical reference for the team. Key Highlights: 1. Developing backend solutions and scalable architectures **Compensation:** R$ 15\.000,00 to R$ 20\.000,00 **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (hybrid model) **Location:** Ribeirão Preto – SP **Requirements:** * Solid experience with AWS, including services such as SQS, SES, S3, and SNS, console usage, and SDK integration. * Solid experience with Java; * Experience with Kafka or other messaging solutions. * Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL, query optimization, and execution plan analysis. * Experience with Redis. * Knowledge of REST and SOAP integrations and microservices architecture. * Mastery of Object-Oriented Programming and concurrent programming. * Experience with logging, metrics, and observability. * Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD practices. * Familiarity with tools such as Git, DBeaver, Postman / Insomnia / Bruno, Jira, and using AI to support development. * Experience in projects with high demand for external integrations. * Experience in high-availability and mission-critical systems. * Ability to evaluate trade-offs among performance, cost, and timeline. * Serving as a technical reference and supporting other developers. * Experience optimizing cloud resource usage. * Ability to act as a bridge between teams, assessing technical feasibility and complexity. * Knowledge of Java, Python, Spark, Databricks, Parquet, Big Data, and ETL/ELT pipelines. * Experience with DF-e / NF-e and integrations with SEFAZ. * Experience in regulated environments (ISO 27001 or SOC II). * Experience in fiscal software. Main Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, and enhance backend solutions using Java * Design and implement scalable and secure software architectures * Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integrations between internal and external systems * Conduct technical and functional requirements analysis, proposing solutions aligned with business needs * Model and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance * Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in systems * Perform code reviews and oversee the application lifecycle * Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and DevOps teams * Serve as a technical reference for the team, supporting less-experienced developers * Document solutions, standards, and technical processes * Track technological trends and propose continuous innovations and improvements for company systems Employment Type: Full-time CLT Compensation: R$15\.000,00 \- R$20\.000,00 per month Work Location: Hybrid remote work based in Ribeirão Preto, SP
