Join BIX Technology! **What we expect from you:** * **AWS Services:** Solid experience provisioning and using AWS services such as DMS, S3, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, IAM (roles/policies), VPC/networking, etc.; * **Streaming / NRT Architecture:** Experience designing near-real-time pipelines, understanding processing semantics (at-least-once / exactly-once), and trade-offs between latency and consistency; * **CDC (Change Data Capture):** Experience with continuous change capture via redo logs, supplemental logging, and incremental replication; * **Apache Kafka:** Proven, solid production experience; * **Databricks:** Proficiency in Spark, Structured Streaming, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers), Unity Catalog, lineage, and data quality frameworks; * **Advanced SQL** and relational and dimensional data modeling; * **Advanced/Fluent English** for international work. **Nice-to-have** * **Orchestration:** Airflow, Data Factory, or equivalent; * **Kafka Connect / Debezium:** CDC connectors integrated with Kafka; * Cloud certifications **(AWS, GCP, Azure)**; * Certifications in Data Engineering tools (Databricks, ClickHouse, Airflow, among others). **Your day-to-day responsibilities:** * Design and implement migration of legacy batch pipelines to a real-time streaming data architecture; * Configure and operate change data capture (CDC) at the source, replicating data via AWS DMS into streaming and lakehouse layers; * Model Kafka topics, partitions, and serialization strategies, ensuring ordering, throughput, and fault tolerance; * Develop ingestion and processing pipelines in Databricks (Structured Streaming, Delta Lake), also addressing ongoing platform requirements; * Ensure data quality, observability, and governance for data in transit and at rest; * Document architecture, technical decisions, and conduct code reviews with the team; * Hold meetings with clients via videoconference, developing strategic questions focused on their business/process at the start of each project or sprint; * Manage project activities using agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery for each new project. **What BIX offers you:** * 100% remote work; * Online therapy and nutritionist platform; * Well-being platform; * Accelerated career path; * Direct contact with leaders from major companies; * Unique work environment (BIX Hour, team-building events and Happy Hours, Mentoring Program, 1-on-1 meetings); * Online English classes (Cambly); * Birthday leave.
