The Impact You Will Have in This Role 3M is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the Corporate Research Systems Lab (CRSL) and design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure that powers global R&D, analytics, workflow automation, and the OnePlace data platform. As a Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, build, and support cloud architectures and services alongside your team for users worldwide: * Participate as a member of development teams, creating and maintaining cloud resources for use in our applications. Build infrastructure as code and work toward a common, high\-performance infrastructure. * Engage with CRSL development groups to understand their needs; other software development groups within the lab are primary stakeholders. * Maintain relationships with appropriate IT groups to ensure alignment with corporate standards. * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including tools to automate testing, security compliance, style compliance, etc. * Monitor cloud usage and costs; identify idle resources and cost\-reduction opportunities. * Support concepts from the Well\-Architected Framework; review, educate, and evangelize best practices. * Advise management on technical strategies and architectures. * Collect issue reports and resolve them. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Act as a mentor to more junior members. * Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, collaborating with other 3M technical leaders to adopt best practices. * Publish internal technical documentation and present at the Tech Forum or internal special\-interest groups. Your Skills and Experience To ensure your success from day one, 3M requires, at a minimum: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. * Experience building and managing resources across the Amazon Web Services product suite. * Experience building and managing software platforms, cloud and pre\-cloud architectures in private, public, government, or military environments. * Proficiency in English. Additional qualifications that may further enhance your success in this role: * AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification. * Familiarity with the AWS Well\-Architected Framework and cloud resource performance optimization techniques. * Ability to develop tools and support infrastructure as software. * Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, Shell/Bash, Docker, AWS (ECS, IAM, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Batch/Step Functions), AWS Networking, AWS CDK, and Databricks. * Experience administering Kubernetes (EKS). * Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially GitHub and GitHub Actions. * Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and emerging LLM architectures. * Experience with Microsoft Entra ID. * Experience in SRE. * Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team. * Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and network issues. Work Location This position follows an on\-site model, requiring the employee to work at least four days per week at the Sumaré/SP office. Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international travel.
