It drives technological evolution, innovation, vulnerability reduction, and enables shared solutions across the entire infrastructure. **Responsibilities and Duties** Definition and Management of SLOs/SLIs: Collaborate with business and engineering teams to define service-level objectives reflecting the customer’s actual experience during the policy purchase journey. Resilience Engineering: Implement functional and technical resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries, fallbacks) to ensure seamless experiences, even amid partner or legacy system instability. Automation and Toil Elimination: Identify repetitive manual tasks in IT operations and develop automations to eliminate them, emphasizing scalability. Incident Management and Post-Mortems: Lead responses to critical incidents and conduct root-cause analyses (blameless post-mortems) to prevent recurrence. SRE Evangelism: Act as a mentor for Delivery teams, promoting technical standardization and efficient use of our technology stack. **Requirements and Qualifications** Observability: Advanced proficiency in Datadog (Dashboards, APM, Alerts, Logs); familiarity with Elastic/Kibana. Containers and Orchestration: Solid experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Rancher. Cloud: AWS. CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab). Development and Scripting: Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot (to understand and suggest improvements to application code). Experience integrating contract-based APIs: Swagger / YAML. SonarQube. Databases: Operational knowledge of MongoDB, Oracle, and Redis. Messaging Architecture: Experience with RabbitMQ or similar technologies supporting distributed systems. Preferred: System architecture (solution creation/adaptation). Cross-Vertical Standardization: Ability to drive adoption of common SRE standards across distinct product squads without compromising Delivery team agility. Proactively maintain high availability of critical product processes.
