Job Summary: A microbiology professional responsible for performing, interpreting, and releasing tests on biological samples, operating specialized equipment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Opportunity to develop expertise in microbiological testing **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform tests on biological samples in the Microbiology department, obtain results, and interpret them to identify the presence or absence of specific diseases and conditions, as well as carry out technical and administrative activities related to clinical laboratory analysis. * Perform microbiological tests using specialized equipment, instruments, and materials; * Monitor internal quality tools; * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support services; * Evaluate, release, and sign microbiological test reports in the SMPEP system; * Supervise tests performed within their department; * Carry out other related activities as needed or at the discretion of their supervisor. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory** * Completed undergraduate degree in Pharmacy or Biochemistry. * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, biological sample collection, and interpretation of test results. * Minimum of 6 months’ experience in Clinical Laboratory Analysis/Microbiology. **Desirable** * Specialization in Clinical Laboratory Analysis or Microbiology * Basic knowledge of laboratory automation **Work Location:** Hospital da Mulher, Largo de Roma **Additional Information** The Instituto Fernando Filgueiras (IFF) is a Social Organization headquartered in Bahia, composed of professionals with extensive experience in Public Health Management, aiming to achieve excellence in healthcare service delivery, supported by humanized care, teaching and research development, and quality management.
