We believe excellence is only possible when people, processes, and innovation move forward together—this is our DNA. **The Challenge:** **Financial Closing** * Execute and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, meeting established deadlines. * Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, ensuring balance integrity. * Analyze period-to-period variances, identify inconsistencies, and propose adjustments as needed. * Coordinate with billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams to ensure correct period recording. Perform bank reconciliations with treasury and support operational areas in interpreting accounting impacts. * Conduct and review monthly accounting reconciliations, ensuring information traceability. * Perform intercompany account reconciliations, including divergence analysis and support in resolution with counterparties. * Monitor and review accounting provisions (WIP, accruals, and estimates). * Review accounting classifications and cost centers, ensuring compliance with internal policies. * Review accounting and tax BPO activities, ensuring accurate tax calculations, proper accounting entries, fulfillment of ancillary obligations, and adherence to internal policies and procedures. **Financial Statements and Auditing** * Support preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and notes), prepare audit documentation, and ensure reconciliation and journal entry records are properly maintained. **Processes and Continuous Improvement** * Identify opportunities for accounting process automation and improvement; support standardization within the GBS environment; and leverage SAP data for accounting analysis and reconciliation. Technical Skills: * Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office suite (Excel – VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables). * Experience with SAP B1 or other ERPs. * Knowledge of accounting reconciliations and financial closing. * Familiarity with accounting standards (BRGAAP / IFRS) is desirable. Also desirable: * Completed undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration; * Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting; * Prior experience (at least 1 year) in external audit firms (Big Four or similar); * Experience with complex financial closing processes and reconciliations.
