Learn more on our website: https://br.sensedia.com/sensedia\-careers ### **What is the Role’s Mission?** The mission of the Junior Java Developer is to actively contribute to the development, evolution, and maintenance of backend and API solutions using Java within Sensedia’s consulting projects. The primary challenge will be applying and deepening technical knowledge in practice—working on agile projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in technical decisions under guidance from more experienced professionals. Additionally, the role involves client interaction, supporting requirement understanding, solution building, and continuous value delivery. ### **What Will Your Day\-to\-Day Activities Be?** * Develop, evolve, and maintain Java-based APIs and backend services, focusing on quality, performance, and best practices. * Work on consulting projects using Sensedia’s platform and products. * Actively participate in agile teams, contributing to ceremonies (daily standup, planning, review, retrospective). * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including development, architecture, product, and QA. * Support analysis of technical and functional requirements, proposing solutions with team guidance. * Write clean, testable code aligned with technical standards and guidelines. * Support technical documentation for developed solutions. * Participate in technical discussions and support implementation decisions. * Interface with clients in technical contexts when necessary, supported by the team. * Support identification and resolution of bugs and ongoing improvements. ### **What Are the Mandatory Requirements for This Role?** * Knowledge of Java for backend development. * Basic experience developing REST APIs. * Understanding of HTTP (methods, status codes, headers, requests, and responses). * Familiarity with object-oriented programming and software development best practices. * Familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring / Spring Boot). * Basic knowledge of Git and source code versioning. * Awareness of automated testing (unit and/or integration tests). * Experience or exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). ### **What Are the Preferred Qualifications for This Role?** * Prior experience in Java and API projects. · Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and REST design best practices. · Familiarity with API Management platforms. * Experience with automated testing and code quality tools. * Awareness of API security (OAuth, JWT, authentication, and authorization). * Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. * Exposure to cloud environments or containers (Docker, Kubernetes). * Interest in system integration and innovation. * Strong communication skills and interest in consulting contexts involving client interaction.
