Description
* Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for logistics operations (transportation, warehousing, packaging, equipment, and materials).
* Conduct technical and commercial analyses of proposals to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to optimize total cost and delivery lead time.
* Monitor supplier performance indicators (SLA, quality, on-time delivery, cost), conduct business analyses, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure procurement meets logistics and production requirements.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that reduce risks and enhance supply chain efficiency.
* Maintain up-to-date supplier database and market mapping.
* Support the budgeting process and market trend assumptions.
* Manage logistics costs, including planned versus actual, by customer/region, and as a percentage of revenue.
* Track regulatory changes.
* Implement best practices; collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and learning, driving continuous improvement.
* Work closely with operations/factories, suppliers, and consultants to optimize spending through technical projects.
* Establish a routine for Tracking and Monitoring: monitor deliveries, complaints, incidents, and any additional costs.
* CRM (Customer Relationship Management) responsible for Logistics Incidents/Complaints.
Requirements:* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade, or related fields.
* More than 10 years of experience in procurement and supply management within logistics.
* Technical knowledge of logistics processes, transportation, and warehousing.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Experience in freight procurement/negotiation.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills in Spanish and English (minimum intermediate level).
* Ability to influence and gain support in "dotted-line" situations.
* Understands business needs.
* Willingness to travel.
