And we achieve this by combining technology, intelligence, and our proprietary operational model. **JOB SUMMARY** Responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring corporate backup and data recovery solutions, ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of the company’s critical information. Works with discipline, a strong sense of responsibility, and an unwavering focus on quality, minimizing risks of data loss due to failures, disasters, or cyberattacks. A key contributor to business continuity, providing analytical insight and proactive action across all routines of administration, verification, troubleshooting, and optimization of backup systems. Also actively participates in developing and executing disaster recovery (DR) plans, ensuring operational resilience and continuous learning in challenging scenarios. **RESPONSIBILITIES** Backup Solution Administration: Manage and maintain daily operations of backup tools (e.g., Dell NetWorker, Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, etc.) with excellence. This includes configuring policies, schedules, data retention, and log monitoring. Proactively and continuously monitor backup routine success, identify failures and performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize resource utilization and execution time. Data Recovery (Restore): Execute file, database, virtual machine, or full-system restoration procedures as requested by users or during emergency situations. Media Management: Control and manage backup media storage, including LTO tapes, cloud storage, or virtual disks. Recovery Testing: Conduct periodic and simulated disaster recovery tests to validate plan effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Documentation: Maintain up-to-date, clear, and standardized technical documentation to foster collective learning regarding backup architecture, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and disaster recovery plans (DRPs). Support and Service: Provide empathetic and assertive technical support, communicating transparently and focusing on definitive resolution; respond to and resolve backup-related support tickets and requests with rapid, efficient solutions. Training and Innovation: Research emerging technologies and trends in backup and data recovery to propose more efficient and secure solutions for the company. **EDUCATION** Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
