Key responsibilities: Act as the direct link between planning and execution, ensuring compliance with defined mining fronts, quotas, and sequences. Interface with quality control, mine dispatch (Fast2Mine), and logistics to ensure optimal equipment allocation. Monitor operations in real time, tracking equipment status, face conditions, ore quality, and adherence to procedures. Support operational risk management, particularly during deviations or critical conditions. Contribute to achieving safety, productivity, and loss control targets by providing technical guidance for shift routines. Interact with departments such as planning, geotechnics, maintenance, mineral processing, geology, infrastructure, and quality control. Ensure traceability of operational decisions and data collection to feed back into planning and continuous improvement. Relay instructions to contractors’ supervisors, ensuring safe and productive operations. **Responsibilities and duties** Provide technical oversight of mine operations during shifts, ensuring alignment with production, safety, and quality targets. Act as a liaison between planning and execution, ensuring compliance with mining fronts, quotas, and sequences. Monitor in real time equipment positioning and utilization, face conditions, and ore quality. Interact with related departments (planning, geotechnics, dispatch, maintenance, mineral processing, geology, infrastructure, quality control, and contractors) to ensure activity integration. Support operational risk management by making rapid and accurate decisions during deviations. Deliver field-based technical guidance to both internal and contractor teams, promoting safe and productive operations. Ensure traceability of operational decisions and collect data to feed back into the planning process and continuous improvement. Contribute to achieving mine performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, and loss control targets. **Requirements and qualifications** Technical degree in Mining or related fields. Active registration with CREA. Minimum 4 years of experience in mine operations (preferably open-pit mining). Knowledge of occupational safety standards and applicable environmental legislation. Experience in drilling, blasting, and technical supervision of mining fronts.
