Job Summary: The Senior Geophysicist – Redetermination is a central member of the Redetermination organization, responsible for ensuring the geophysical robustness and procedural compliance of the company’s position, working within a multicultural team. They must promote safety culture in geoscience activities and ensure effective interface with the affiliate’s HSE function and with the corporate HSE coordination for geosciences (cf. CR EP GSR 002\).** The Senior Geophysicist – Redetermination is a central member of the affiliate’s Redetermination organization, working in close coordination with a multidisciplinary subsurface team and with corporate functions. They report to the Redetermination Manager and will be involved in the following activities: * Ensuring in-depth knowledge of the AIP contractual terms, especially those governing the Redetermination principles and the Technical Procedure described in Annex V. * Leading or supervising the 3D structural interpretation of seismic data relevant to redetermination (OBN, streamer, reprocessed data, as admissible under CDB rules). * Ensuring full mastery of Common Database (CDB) and Base Data Project (BDP) concepts. * Acquiring comprehensive knowledge of field geophysical data and developing expertise in dynamic field synthesis. * Ensuring consistent interpretation of reservoir top/base horizons, fault frameworks, and uncertainty envelopes, clearly linked to participation drivers per tracts. * Contributing to defining structural sensitivities with real impact on VOE. * Building, reviewing, or auditing time-depth conversion models consistent with redetermination procedures and agreed-upon inputs. * Assessing the relevance and admissibility of 4D seismic information for redetermination purposes. * Performing QC/QA of operator and partner geophysical work, identifying methodological biases, asymmetries, or non-conformities. * Being responsible for the availability and quality of all geophysical inputs for various internal and external technical committees, ensuring TotalEnergies’ position remains clear, consistent, and well-documented. * Participating in all technical sessions with partners and consultants (specialized in redetermination projects). * Ensuring coherence of all geophysical parameters, translating complex subsurface issues into solid, ready-to-use, and defensible technical arguments. * Ensuring appropriate documentation, traceability, and internal validation of all geophysical inputs supporting redetermination. * Acting as the technical reference for geophysical topics related to redetermination within the affiliate. **Responsibilities** * Ensuring geophysical robustness and procedural compliance of TotalEnergies’ redetermination position in Brazilian assets. * Reducing technical and reputational risks through clear, consistent, and defensible geophysical narratives. * Ensuring the Company’s technical credibility in negotiations with partners and in potential proceedings involving independent experts. * Responsible for internal validation of all documentation submitted to experts. * Maintaining effective teamwork within the redetermination group and advising the Redetermination Manager and Asset Director on subsurface matters. ### **Candidate Profile** * Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent in Geophysics, Physics, Earth Sciences, or related field. * Experience: Minimum of 8 years in geophysical studies in E&P, with proven ability to independently lead complex studies involving seismic acquisition, processing/imaging monitoring, seismic interpretation, and/or inversion. Solid experience in time-lapse (4D) seismic applied to reservoir surveillance and development is expected. * Strong understanding of the entire subsurface value chain (geology, geophysics, and reservoir engineering). * Ability to focus on key value drivers and translate uncertainties into decision-ready inputs. * Recognized interpersonal skills, with strong capability and interest in communicating technical topics. * Technical Competencies: Consolidated expertise in geophysical interpretation and ability to rapidly learn tools if not already mastered. * Prior experience in unitization and/or redetermination processes is a significant advantage. ### **Additional Information** **TotalEnergies values diversity, promotes individual development, and offers equal employment opportunities to all candidates.**
