About the Role Alcoa is seeking a Vulcanizer Mechanic A to join our team at the São Luís – MA site. The role is responsible for analyzing defects, identifying and eliminating root causes of abnormalities, inspecting equipment, performing maintenance activities on belt conveyors and their auxiliary systems, and providing technical guidance to execution teams during vulcanization and mechanical activities on conveyors—fully aligned with Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost, and Schedule standards. Key responsibilities include: * Performing hot or cold splicing on fabric or steel-cable belts; * Conducting mechanical maintenance on conveyors (replacing rollers, idlers, scrapers, drums, and other components); * Performing cutting, repair, and assembly of structures; * Conducting hot and cold repairs on conveyor belts; * Inspecting and diagnosing issues in belts and equipment; * Performing preventive and corrective alignments and replacing pulley lagging. What You Can Bring to the Role * Education: Technical degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering with active registration at CFT – Federal Council of Industrial Technicians; * Preferred: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; * Preferred: Driver’s License Category B; * Preferred: Specific knowledge: belt conveyors, bulk mineral handling, vulcanization techniques, and corrective and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment; * Requirement: Availability to work rotating shifts and/or administrative hours.
