Job Summary:
Performs maintenance, installation, and testing of ventilation and refrigeration systems, ensuring proper operation, compliance with standards, and service quality, as well as calculating thermal loads and specifying materials.

Perform maintenance, installation, assembly, and testing activities on ventilation and refrigeration systems, ensuring correct equipment operation, compliance with current technical standards, and service quality. Perform thermal load calculations by evaluating and sizing the installation environment, identifying heat sources, preparing technical reports, and specifying appropriate capacity for ventilation and refrigeration equipment. Specify materials and accessories, defining type, model, voltage, and power supply of equipment; analyzing installation drawings, assessing the site, consulting manufacturer catalogs, requisitioning and verifying materials. Install ventilation and refrigeration equipment by selecting tools, performing measurements, interpreting technical standards and procedures, installing piping, drains, evaporator and condenser units, as well as performing necessary electrical installations. Install duct branches, including marking locations, fabricating, assembling and securing ducts, installing elastic vibration joints, air flow control dampers, supply and return grilles, performing thermal insulation, and sealing connection joints. Assemble refrigeration piping by establishing and sizing the routing, leveling and securing pipes and equipment, performing welding, pre\-cleaning, plugging, nitrogen pressurization, pressure monitoring, leak identification and correction, and applying thermal insulation. Apply vacuum to refrigeration systems by connecting vacuum pump and vacuum gauge, monitoring pressure levels, and completing the process in accordance with technical standards. Charge refrigerant fluid by connecting high- and low-pressure gauges, purging air from hoses, opening service valves, injecting refrigerant, and controlling system pressure. Conduct system testing and commissioning, verifying electrical supply, starting motors and compressors, checking rotation direction, monitoring electrical and pressure variables, evaluating superheat and sub\-cooling, testing protection and control devices, preparing reports, presenting installed equipment, and instructing users on its operation. Use computer resources for recordkeeping and reporting; perform other related duties of the same nature; and prepare protection for furniture, lighting fixtures, metalwork, plants, and other existing interferences, ensuring their preservation during service execution.
Minimum Education: High School (Secondary Education)
