Description
Assists in the operation and comprehensive maintenance of the temple's physical facilities, operating, maintaining, and repairing assigned mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and equipment under the direction of the Temple Engineer, thereby providing an environment where patrons can have a positive and edifying experience each time they visit the temple.
* Makes minor adjustments or repairs to components of the environmental control system.
* Performs maintenance functions on sanitary and storm sewer systems.
* Maintains all units connected to domestic hot and cold water systems.
* Conducts minor maintenance on laundry area equipment.
* Refers major repairs to other construction engineers.
* Maintains equipment in the baptismal office and baptismal font area.
* Tests and adjusts water purification systems to maintain pH and hardness levels in accordance with code requirements.
* Performs minor maintenance and assists in all phases of electrical systems, including lighting, power, and emergency power.
* Assists in the installation and repair of three-phase wiring systems and lighting systems.
* Operates and provides full operational maintenance as needed.
* Learns to coordinate ongoing equipment maintenance within the temple concurrently with sacred ordinance work being performed to ensure optimal worship conditions.
* May be responsible for cleaning, security, or other aspects of the temple's physical maintenance.
* Responsible for proper documentation and administrative practices, such as maintaining equipment records, closing out routine computerized preventive maintenance tasks, maintaining notes on as-built drawings, and generating and tracking work orders.
* Bachelor's degree in fields related to building maintenance.
* Technical certification in electrical and/or electronic systems is desirable.
* Basic experience and knowledge in: electrical systems, electronics, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, general construction, blueprint reading, mechanics, HVAC, and floor surfacing.
* Familiarity with OSHA regulations and basic computer literacy.
