




Job Summary: The reception assistant is the first point of contact in the hospital environment, responsible for welcoming patients with empathy and ensuring an efficient patient flow. Support healthcare professionals to deliver prompt service The **reception assistant** plays a fundamental role in the hospital environment, often serving as the first point of contact between the patient and the healthcare institution. This role involves greeting patients, companions, and visitors cordially and empathetically, minimizing patient anxiety and conveying confidence in the service. **Salary:** R$1\.683,20 **Work Schedule:** 220 hours (Monday to Friday) **Work Modality:** In-person **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform initial patient and companion intake, receiving them in a welcoming manner, registering personal data in the hospital system, ensuring patients have a positive first impression of the institution and that their care process begins efficiently; * Direct patients to respective departments (consultation rooms, diagnostic tests, inpatient units, etc.) using knowledge of internal hospital workflows to optimize processes and prevent delays in care; * Monitor patient flow at reception, recording and tracking waiting times and providing updates on care progress using monitoring tools to optimize processes and avoid queues and overcrowding; * Answer telephone calls, providing information about appointment and test schedules and general guidance using the hospital’s telephone system to respond promptly and effectively to patient inquiries; * Support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals by quickly providing patient status updates and directing them as needed, using efficient communication to ensure agile and well-coordinated care; * Perform other duties inherent to the position. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Full Microsoft Office suite proficiency; * Prior experience in this role. **Additional Information** * Fuel allowance; * Cafeteria; * SESC benefits; * Day Off. **IMED** is a nonprofit social organization promoting public health.
