This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in **São Paulo** (2 times/ week or 8 days/ month) or **Porto Alegre** (3 times/ week or 12 days/ month). Our WFN culture is designed to foster in\-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices. **The Opportunity** As an Manager, Engineering at TELUS Digital, you'll lead a skilled engineering team while maintaining hands\-on involvement in development. You'll architect and build high\-quality mobile solutions (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter) for our clients, making critical technical decisions and actively contributing code when needed, while mentoring your team to grow professionally. We're seeking a hands\-on technical leader who can effectively guide a team while maintaining active involvement in development. The ideal candidate will drive technical decisions and architecture while contributing directly to coding efforts when needed. **Qualifications** Have professional engineering experience — at least 5 years building digital products, and at least 1 years leading a team; **Core Requirements:** * At least 5 years of professional mobile development experience (iOS, Android, React Native, or Flutter) * At least 1 year leading/mentoring an engineering team * Proven ability to architect and deliver complete mobile products from concept to production * Active hands\-on coding involvement (minimum 30\-40% of time) in your current or recent role * Strong understanding of mobile development best practices: performance optimization, memory management, battery efficiency, offline\-first patterns * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and shift\-left testing approaches in mobile environments * Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) * Fluent English and Portuguese (written, verbal, and presentation) * Based in São Paulo or Porto Alegre office **Generalist Mobile Developer Profile:** * Comfortable working across multiple mobile platforms (iOS AND Android OR cross\-platform frameworks) * Understanding of backend integration, APIs, and how mobile apps interact with broader systems * Ability to make informed technical decisions about platform selection, architecture patterns, and tech stack * Experience with mobile testing frameworks, debugging tools, and performance profiling **Bonus Points** * Professional experience as a Project or Product Manager and Scrum Master from a major technology consultancy or agency * You’ve guided a client to further their use of modern engineering practices or agile software delivery processes * Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PMP, SA, SPC, etc. * Account planning and growth activities **You’ll love this job if you...** * Are comfortable collaborating and communicating with teams and clients to deliver software in an agile environment * Think of the product you are building as part of an ecosystem of development, testing and deployment tools and processes * Pride yourself on your work and take responsibilities and commitments seriously * Value daily opportunities to immerse yourself deeply in your work * Celebrate differences and thrive in an environment where everyone’s unique contributions are encouraged * Value a feedback culture that fosters personal and professional growth **Equal Opportunity Employer** ------------------------------ *At TELUS Digital, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
